Newport News, Va. – Newport News and Hampton Police are working together to identify and locate an individual they now believe is responsible for three recent bank robberies.
The latest of the three occurred in the City of Newport News on Tuesday, May 27.
The ongoing investigations have linked one suspect to the three robberies based on victim and witness descriptions and evidence at each scene.
The robberies occurred on March 28, 2014 at the Wells Fargo located in the 2000 block of Kecoughtan Road in Hampton; on April 18, 2014 at the Bayport Credit Union located in the 2300 block of Cunningham Drive in Hampton; and on May 27, 2014 at the Virginia Educators Credit Union located in the 800 block of Main Street in Newport News.
