Deadly shooting in Virginia Beach

Virginia Beach, Va. – Police are investigating a deadly shooting in Virginia Beach.

On Wednesday, May 21, 2014, at approximately 10:50 p.m., Virginia Beach Police responded to Tropical Delights located at 6220 Indian River Road, for a report of a gunshot wound.

When officers arrived they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.

The victim was immediately transported to a local hospital where he later died as a result of his injuries, police say.

The victim has been identified as 53-year-old Tyrone Martin of the 2000 block of Glenn Avenue in Philadelphia, PA.

The suspect has been identified as 27-year-old Andrew Wesley Roberts of the 2000 block of Harton Circle in Chesapeake, VA.

Warrants have been obtained for Murder, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Use of a Firearm and Aggravated Malicious Wounding.

Police are also looking for 22-year-old Chezmin Brittany Suter of the 2000 block of Harton Circle in Chesapeake. Warrants for Accessory After the Fact, Obstructing Justice and Attempt to Commit a Misdemeanor are on file for Suter.

Detectives are trying to determine the identity of the white female standing next to the suspect in the surveillance image, pictured above. She is described as 25-30 years of age, 5’6” tall, and 130-140 pounds. She has long sandy brown hair and is seen wearing a black V cut shirt and blue jeans. She was carrying a blue or aqua green handbag at the time of the incident, police say.

Detectives are trying to find the Green 1994 BMW also shown in the photographs.
