Woman stabbed during Norfolk robbery

Norfolk, Va. - A woman was rushed to the hospital after she was stabbed in Norfolk on Wednesday night.

Police say this happened in the 1600 block of Seldon Avenue.

A man says he hear a woman screaming for someone to leave her alone around 9pm and found her in the street holding her stomach as another man ran away.

The woman, who lives in the neighborhood, had money taken and did not know her attacker.

She was taken to Sentara Norfolk hospital for treatment and police say her wound is non-life threatening.

Police believe robbery was the motive.
