Big plunge: What caused the big cooldown on the Eastern Shore?

Folks on the Eastern Shore experience several seasons in just a few hours on Tuesday.  After a high of 90 around 3pm, an abrupt shift in the wind sent temperatures plunging into the 50s within a few hours.  And on top of that clouds and fog rolled in, too.

As I always say: the weather in our area depends on which way the wind is blowing.
