Four African lion cubs at the Smithsonian’s National Zoo in Washington, D.C. took a swim test on Tuesday.

The cubs, born March 2nd to a lioness named Sheba, must take a swim test proving they can stay above water and pull themselves onto dry land. This is to ensure the cubs can survive in the exhibit if they are accidentally knocked into the moat.

All four cubs passed the test… and it was really cute!

The 10-week-old cubs will make their public debut in mid-June once all vaccinations have been administered.
