As someone whose spouse is on one of those ships, I am surprised this is being posted and I am very curious as to how this does not violate OPSEC.

Sorry we’re just getting back to you. Navy Public Affairs releases this information to us 7 days out of any deployment or return and it is free for us to share at that point.

It doesn’t violate OPSEC because the Navy released the info. They always announce homecomings. They don’t provide the ships coordinates while steaming home or release the time they will be pulling in. To find out specific details regarding homecoming you sailor would have to send a request to the FRG to add you to the distribution list. Even then you must attend meetings and events in person to find out specific details such as the time they will be pierside.

What time will the ship be pulling into port? My family would like to see them come in but we have no information when to be there and can not come to the night before event.
    Thankyou for any help.
