EF2 tornado strikes Beaufort and Hyde counties

The National Weather Service says that an EF2 tornado hit Beaufort and Hyde counties on Monday.

They say the tornado touched down at around 3:45 p.m.

According to WITN.com, the winds were about 111 to 135 mph.

The tornado damaged eight homes and five people were injured.
