Two teens arrested for attempted carjacking with shot gun in Norfolk

Norfolk, Va. – Norfolk police have arrested two teens under 18 in connection with an attempted carjacking that occurred on March 25, 2014.

On March 25, 2014 at approximately 8:00 a.m., a call was received for an Attempted Robbery/Carjacking.

A Norview Checkered Cab driver stated that while he was waiting for his fair in the 100 block of W. Indian River Road, two males approached his vehicle, with one male displaying a shot gun.

The cab driver quickly drove away from the scene, without incident, police say.

Norfolk police robbery detectives were able to identify, locate, and charge a 17-year-old and a 15-year-old. Each are charged with Attempted Carjacking, Conspiracy to Commit a Carjacking, and Use of a Firearm in Commission of a Felony.
