Starbucks  plans to serve beer and wine at thousands of locations over the next few years.

The coffee chain started selling beer and wine at one Seattle location in 2010 and has since expanded that to 26 locations.

It will soon be expanding again to thousands of locations, according to spokeswoman Lisa Passé.

There are no plans for alcoholic beverages beyond wine and beer, Passé says, nor are there plans to expand the program outside the USA.
