Three local cities make Virginia’s Safest Cities list

Poquoson, Williamsburg and Smithfield have made’s list of the 30 Safest Cities in Virginia list.

The list was composed using FBI Crime Report date from 2012 (the most recent available) and their own research.

The list says Poquoson has low unemployment, nominal crime, and well respected schools.

Smithfield has good schools, safe streets, affordable housing and a small town vibe.

And residents of Williamsburg enjoy a low crime rate because of the city’s commitment to continuously improving the quality of life in its neighborhoods.
