Family of three displaced by house fire in South Norfolk section of Chesapeake

Chesapeake, Va. – The Red Cross is assisting a South Norfolk family of three after a fire heavily damaged their home Sunday morning.

Firefighters received the first call about the fire in the 1300 block of Hull Street at 10:49 a.m.

Crews arrived in six minutes and had the blaze in the two-story home under control at 11:09 a.m.

No injuries were reported. Fire officials say the cause of the fire appears to be electrical in nature, starting on the exterior of the home.
