Truck crashes down embankment on I-264 eastbound at Witchduck Road exit

Virginia Beach, Va. – A truck has traveled down the embankment on I-264 eastbound at the Witchduck Road exit, according to Virginia State Police Dispatch.

There are injuries reported.

The ramp is blocked. Drivers can expect delays.

State troopers are on scene.

    The truck was lying dead on its side across the shoulder and at least a lane or two. It didn’t go down the embankment.

    @Me-Sometimes they update these articles throughout the day-maybe they’d hauled it back up by the time you got there. Regardless of where it was, I hope the injuries they mentioned aren’t serious. It’s slippery out there today-everybody be careful!

    2 separate accidents.
    A tractor-trailer overturned and dumped a 20′ container on the right three lanes about 150-200 yards from the Witchduck exit. That’s what is shown by the traffic cam. A crane is required to lift the tractor upright and put the shipping container back onto the trailer.
    A pick-up truck went off the embankment from the exit ramp itself at Witchduck road. Not visible to the traffic cam.
