If you saw a small boy sitting on a bench in the bitter cold … without a coat… what would you do?
When an 11-year-old boy sat at a bus stop without a coat in Norway, hidden cameras captured how strangers reacted when they saw him.
The Huffington Post said the Norwegian branch of the SOS Children’s Villages International charity conducted the experiment to see how people would truly react.
The experiment is part of a campaign to provide warm clothing for displaced children in Syria.

That really touched my heart. It shows there are still good people in this world. God Bless You All!

Here I would worry about being locked up, getting my name made to look bad, or having the system and media try to bring me down. I would worry because it is my way, to always try to do the right thing. I would offer him my coat.

Thankfully, kindness doesn’t know the language barrier. This makes me happy. :)

This brought tears to my eyes. I’m glad people out there wanted to help him.

It touched my heart, because at first it seemed that no one was going to help him, then you saw person after person sacrifice their warmth and comfort for the childs.I would have gave up my coat in the blink of an eye, glad to know I’m not the only one.

I like the woman early on in the video who is trying very hard to pretend like it’s no big deal. “Nothing to see here. Just taking my coat off.”

I want to see this same experiment with a black child.

This is either sad or cynical, Brox. Why should you expect a different reaction with a coloured child? Just in Norway? Anywhere in the West?

It doesn’t matter what race a child is, I believe it would have the same response.

Awesome.
