LOS ANGELES — A KTLA photographer captured a bizarre scene at a busy Los Angeles intersection Tuesday afternoon.
According to KTLA photographer Victor Vargas, a man yelled “I love Jesus Christ!” right before breaking the windows of a LAPD patrol car parked at the intersection of Hollywood Blvd. and Highland Ave.
Vargas captured the incident on video. (Use the video player above to watch it.)
After breaking the windows, the suspect is seen removing a laptop computer from the police car and taking it to a nearby kiosk to use it.
Meanwhile, a bystander dressed as Darth Vader stood and watched the shenanigans.
Police responded to the scene and the suspect was handcuffed while lying face down on Susan Lucci’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
A man dressed as Superman was also at the scene.
“It’s not my job to jump in the middle,” the Superman impersonator said when asked why he didn’t try to intervene.
