A new scam alert for you this afternoon - it's called the "one ring scam".

Here's how it works - a computer makes thousands of calls to random cell phone numbers.

After one ring, it disconnects.

If you return the missed call, you could be charged $19.95 for an international call fee.

So if you miss a call and you don't recognize the number, you may want to just ignore it.
