UPDATE:The animal cruelty charges against Tiffany D'andrea have been dismissed in court today.
The judge says she believed D'andrea was doing what she thought was the right thing. She believes there was no malicious intent involved.
D'andrea was also facing charges for not having a rabies vaccination and they say she did not have a city license for the three adult cats. She turned those cats over to the Beach SPCA. She was found guilty on those charges.
Virginia Beach, Va. - On Monday a woman charged with animal cruelty is scheduled to appear in court in Virginia Beach.
Tiffany D'andrea was charged earlier this summer after she turned in what she insists were stray cats and kittens to Virginia Beach Animal Control.
Animal Control said because D'andrea cared for the cats, they were her responsibility.
They also said the kittens were in such poor health that they had to be euthanized.
D'andrea is scheduled to be in court this afternoon at 2 p.m.
NewsChannel 3 will have a crew live at the courthouse and will bring you the latest developments as they happen - on air and online.
