Police say they responded to the school at 11:41 a.m. after a 7th grade student reported to a teacher that he saw the magazine on the floor in a classroom on the second floor.
School officials contact police and the school was placed on a "partial" lockdown for two hours while a sweep of the school was made by school officials, police and Virginia State Police K9s.
No weapon was recovered.
Several students were questioned, and it was determined that the magazine belonged to a 7th grade male student.
The investigation is ongoing. No charges have been filed.
