Update: Officials search for missing 17-year-old Virginia girl

Update: Authorities have found the car that matches the description of the one the missing teen was driving according to wric.com. 

It was found in the parking lot of the Carmike Theatre in Charlottesville.

The FBI needs the public’s help to find a missing 17-year-old girl from Nelson County.

According to WTVR, officials are looking for 17-year-old Alexis Tiara Murphy. She has been missing since August 3rd.

She was last seen at 7:15 p.m. and was in a white 2003 Nissan Maxima GLE with Virginia plates WYN-3706 according to police. They say she was wearing a pink blouse, floral spandex pants and brown boots. Murphy is 5’7″ and she weighs about 160 lbs. She was carrying a gray purse.
