Portsmouth, Va. – A 47-year-old Portsmouth man was taken into custody Tuesday morning and charged in relation to two grocery store robberies at a Food Lion and Farm Fresh on Victory Boulevard.

After further investigation, he was also charged for two similar crimes in Franklin.

A vehicle matching a description of one described by witnesses at one of the robberies, was spotted by a Portsmouth Police officer on Monday night.
