With training camp just about a week away, fans are counting down the days until they head to Richmond. But what exactly does training camp entail?

Each day can be a different experience depending on who's in full pads and who isn't.

But, fans can be excited to watch RGIII and the other quarterbacks warming up before full workouts begin.

Play exists in 11-on-11 competition, but before that occurs, the players will participate in a couple drills that work out the linemen, cornerbacks, and receivers.

Unlike regular season play, training camp drills are not full contact.

And speaking of full contact, it's no foreign concept to former Redskins tight end Chris Cooley.

The nine-year veteran is leaving the team, but not the organization.

This week, the team announced the addition of Cooley to their radio broadcasting team.

Cooley was released last year in training camp but was then re-signed after starting tight-end Fred Davis' season-ending injury.

Returning tight ends include Davis and Logan Paulsen. The team is also adding Jordan Reed, who sat during Spring workouts as he healed from a thigh contusion.
