Man shot in a Wendy’s parking lot in Norfolk

Norfolk, Va. - Police are investigating after a man has been shot in the parking lot of a Norfolk Wendy's fast food restaurant.

Police responded to the scene around 9 p.m. at the 700 block of Newtown Rd.

We're told by police that the victim was shot in the leg by an unknown suspect. He then walked to the drive-thru to ask for help from employees.

Police say the motive has been determined to be an attempted robbery.

The suspect who fled on foot has been described as a black male, 24-25 years old, 5'7''-5'8'', 150 pounds, wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans.
