Virginia Beach, Va. - Virginia Beach police say 39 year-old Keith Street is behind bars, believed to be the 'Smash and Grab’ serial burglar, according to a search warrant NewsChannel 3 obtained.

An officer identified him in surveillance video outside of Dentistry First, one of 11 Beach businesses hit between January and late March.

So far, police have only charged Street with the one burglary.

But after months with no answers, Hawk's Barber Shop owner Arthles Lynn, hopes Street is the man responsible for his break-in.  His big screen was snatched right off the back wall.

"Everybody keeps asking me, 'Hey, you got the guy yet?’” Lynn said.

"I really am hoping that it's him. I'm hoping he could tell me where my TV is too."

In each case, the same thing happened. The thief used a rock to smash his way in, taking TV’s, cash and laptops.

Lynn hasn't replaced his TV yet, instead, he's buying equipment to stop future wannabe burglars.

"It was a setback you know just to replace the glass and things like that,” he says. “So right now, my biggest thing is just to try and get a security system before I buy a TV."

Street has been charged with one count of burglary and petit larceny. Police are hoping to use Street's phone records to locate exactly where he was at the dates and times of the other break-ins.
