UPDATE: Police identify woman shot and killed overnight in Suffolk

Suffolk, Va. – Police have identified a woman who was shot and killed in Suffolk overnight. The victim has been identified as 27-year-old Diana Yvette Jones.

Around 20 or 30 shots rang out early Thursday morning, neighbors tell NewsChannel 3. It happened on Hunter Street just before 1:30 a.m.

Dozens of detectives responded to the scene. Police say one woman was shot and killed, and another was taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.

Police have not yet released any details on suspects, or motives.
