A man was killed Wednesday morning in a crash on Route 58, east of Valley Pro Drive in Southampton County.
According to Virginia State Police, Roscoe F. Hatten III, was traveling eastbound on Route 58 in a 2005 International truck when it came upon another vehicle and attempted to make a lane change.
Hatten lost control of the truck, ran off the road and overturned.
The cab of the truck was crushed when the vehicle overturned, killing Hatten on impact.
The truck was owned by TME Enterprises. Mr. Hatten was wearing his safety belt and alcohol was not a factor in the accident.
