Virginia Beach, Va. - “We had actually just closed. We received these calls right before we closed, so we had to take them. And then the moment we closed was when he walked in. He was actually quite charismatic and personable whenever he walked in. Very friendly almost. He told me he had placed an order previously that he had never received, and while I was looking it up, he just walked around the counter and lifted up the gun and started shooting.”
Just moments from locking the restaurant door, Patrick Jenkins was in the gun sights of a robber. The first shot struck his co-worker in the head.
“It was like time froze for a second. From my perspective at the time, it was either fight or die.”
Tonight at 11, you will hear for the first time, what happened inside this Virginia Beach pizza store when a robber slipped in at closing – and opened fire.
