Man run over by pick-up truck in Haygood Parking lot in the Beach

Virginia Beach, Va. –According to Beach police, a man was run over by a pick-up truck in a parking lot in the Haygood Shopping Center located on 1000 Independence Blvd.

They say this occurred around 3:47 p.m.

Police tell NewsChannel 3 the man was walking in the parking lot when he was run over by a maroon pick-up truck.

They say the man was transported to Sentara Norfolk Hospital.

The driver of the vehicle remained on the scene.

Police say this occurred on the city street.
