Albemarle, Elizabeth City, and Outer Banks: 6pm
Most of Chesapeake, Southampton County: 8pm
Hardest hit areas of Chesapeake, Suffolk, Peninsula, Gloucester, Norfolk, Virginia Beach, and Williamsburg: 11pm
Individual customer restoration times will be available as damage is assessed and work is under way.
Call 1-866-DOM-HELP(1-866-366-4357) if you are still without power or if you see any downed power lines.

JRB opening happened early, so expect some traffic on 17.
Norfolk’s Granby HS has power except for a small portion of the gym, but that is lit by backup power.
Linkhorn Park Elementary in VA Beach has the lights back on.

Five structures were condemned overnight due to damage caused by falling trees in Newport News.
City fire crews responded to multiple calls for electrical wires down and trees into buildings.
One civilian was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

Norfolk Public Schools will operate at normal hours today.
Dominion says 11,000 customers are now without power.
55,000 customers in Hampton Roads and North Carolina were affected at some point during the storm.
Dominion expects to complete restoration in most locations by late this evening. Some restoration may continue into tomorrow along the line of most significant damage from Suffolk to Williamsburg and Gloucester.
Dominion estimates power will be restored at William & Mary by 9am.

Dominion reports thousands of people without power in Hampton Roads, including many schools.
Right now Dominion’s web site lists 14,976 without power in Hampton Roads and another 595 without power in Northeast North Carolina.
According to Elizabeth Mather with Norfolk Public Schools all schools will open as scheduled and NPS is working with Dominion to restore power to the buildings.
Dominion’s Bonita Harris says the following schools in the region are currently without power:
Norfolk:
Lindenwood Elementary
Larchmont Elementary
Granby High School
Virginia Beach:
Linkhorn Park Elementary
Williamsburg:
Lafayette High
William and Mary, plus Law School and graduate housing
Hampton:
Booker Elementary
Elizabeth City:
Chowan Middle School
Chesapeake:
Thurgood Marshall Elementary
