Five buildings condemned in Newport News; Many still without power

Newport News, Va. - Several thousand people remain without power in Hampton Roads after the storm.

Here are the estimated times of restoration from Dominion Power:

Albemarle, Elizabeth City, and Outer Banks: 6pm

Most of Chesapeake, Southampton County: 8pm

Hardest hit areas of Chesapeake, Suffolk, Peninsula, Gloucester, Norfolk, Virginia Beach, and Williamsburg: 11pm

Call 1-866-DOM-HELP(1-866-366-4357) if you are still without power or if you see any downed power lines.

Five buildings were condemned overnight due to damage caused by falling trees in Newport News.

Newport News fire crews responded to multiple calls for electrical wires down and trees into buildings. One civilian was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
