Franklin murder suspect arrested in Chesapeake
Franklin, Va. – A Franklin murder suspect is locked up.
Franklin police, along with U.S. Marshals, arrested Sol Burke, also known as “Dukey,” on Thursday in Chesapeake.
He’s now behind bars at the Western Tidewater Regional Jail.
Authorities say he shot and killed Eric Dewayne Smith at the victim’s mother’s home on Pearl Street in November.
Witnesses say Burke knocked on the door and when Smith answered, Burke shot him.
