(CNN) — If you like to turn holiday shopping into a last-minute marathon, Macy’s is ready to cater to you.

The department store chain announced it will be open for non-stop shopping the last weekend before Christmas.

Stores will open at 7 a.m. on Friday, December 21st and will stay open until 7 a.m. on Sunday, December 23rd.

The special sales for the marathon will end Sunday morning, but Macy’s says many stores will remain open until midnight.

The company has tried out extended shopping hours in past years. But this is the first time all 800 Macy’s nationwide will participate.

Macy’s hope to attract a bigger chuck of America’s holiday spending, which the National Retail Federation predicts to be in the 586 billion dollar range this year.
