Chesapeake police officer charged with embezzlement
Chesapeake, Va. – A Chesapeake police officer has been arrested and charged with embezzlement.
Chesapeake police say a four month investigation of 28-year-old Michael Mobley led to his arrest on two counts of embezzlement.
Mobley lives in Virginia Beach and has been on administrative leave without pay since the investigation began.
Mobley has been an officer with the department for five years.
