A third tower is coming to Town Center. Virginia Beach city council approved the plan last night.

Only two council members voted against phase five—as the new tower is being called.

It would be on the corner of Main Street and Town Center Drive, where there's currently a parking lot.

Now more than seventy million for phase five will be coming from developers.

That would leave the city paying about 19 million to handle the parking garage and landscaping.

The building will have apartments, offices, and shopping once it's finished.

As for phase five, it's expected to be completed in the summer of 2014.
