$370 million expected to be spent on pet Halloween costumes

As Halloween approaches, many people are buying their costumes.

But this year, Halloween is going to the dogs.

Americans will spend $370 million on costumes for their pets. That’s up 19-percent from last year. 

According to a survey conducted by the National Retail Federation, pumpkins will be the most popular pet costumes. 

“Devil” will be the second-most popular pet costume. Also among the most popular costumes are dogs dressed up as cats and – cats dressed up as dogs.
