Allen Gillard's son was murdered on Easter Sunday. The image of his son after the shooting will forever haunt him.

"You don't take nobody life like that. Tragic, 12 gauge shotgun, close range, that's rough," Gillard said.

Tre Brothers was killed six months ago. For Gillard, it's difficult to explain what happened to his young sons, especially with Tre's shooter still out there.

"Why it take so long for them to catch my son's killer," Gillard said. "It's been six months, it's been six months."

The pain in his eyes over losing his son is amplified by his feeling that justice hasn't been served.

Police arrested Yanaula Stratikis for her role in the shooting. She gave them information which led to Romell Samuel to be named their suspect.

But Samuel fled town and hasn't been seen since.

"I just hope God finds justice," Gillard said. "Cause my son laying in the ground and the killer stays at large."

Gillard felt relief when he was first told police knew who killed his son. But as the months passed, hope faded and now he worries the day will never come when Tre's killer will be locked up.

"I feel like someone in the system is just not doing their job," Gillard said.
