NORFOLK – Norfolk’s first street festival is this weekend, according to city officials.
To accommodate all the performances, demonstrations, and displays, the City of Norfolk will close Granby Street from Main to Freemason and the southbound lane from Freemason to Charlotte at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 7, 2012.
The northbound lane will remain open.
The cross-streets at Plume Street, City Hall Avenue, and Freemason will remain open during this time and throughout the event.
On-street parking will be removed Thursday, September 6 at 6:00 p.m. to prepare for the street closure the following day.
For Route 17 HRT customers, temporary bus stops will be placed at the following locations:
• Boush Street and Freemason Street
• Boush Street and College Place
• Boush Street and City Hall Avenue
The City of Norfolk is offering $2.00 collect on entry at all city parking garages beginning at 5:00 p.m. through midnight on Friday, September 7.
