Hatteras Island officials search for missing Ohio woman
The missing woman on Hatteras Island has been identified as 33-year-old Lynn Jackenheimer of 1615 State Route 603 in Ashland, Ohio.
Jackenheimer was reported missing by Ashland County Law Enforcement.
Police are told she was last seen around midnight on July 4, 2012. Officials say she is believed to have been in the Salvo area at the time.
Police in Ohio say that foul play may be involved. Ohio authorities are actively looking for the missing woman’s boyfriend, 27-year-old Nathaniel Summerfield. Officials say he is also from Ashland.
Summerfield was last seen in Ashland, Ohio on July 8.
Dare County Sheriff’s deputies and other officials are continuing the search for Jackenheimer on Hatteras Island.
