Four people are safe after being rescued by the Norfolk-based USS Elrod.
It happened Tuesday night.
A photo was taken as they pulled one of the people onto the rescue boat.
They found four people clinging to the boat in the Caribbean.
All four people were rescued and taken to a hospital in Colombia.
The USS Elrod is currently conducting counter transnational organized crime operations as part of Operation Martillo.
