UPDATE: Beach police find 52-year-old man who disappeared Tuesday

UPDATE – Virginia Beach police officials say Carlton Edmunds was located by Norfolk Police Department on Tuesday, May 15, at 11:10 p.m.  He was unharmed and in good health.  He was with a family friend.

Police in Virginia Beach are searching for a 52-year-old man who disappeared on Tuesday afternoon. 

Carlton Edmunds was last seen sitting in his wheelchair outside of the medical building located at 1725 Laskin Road, in the Hilltop area.

He was waiting for his wife to pick him up police say.

Edmunds is described as a black male who is 6’tall and 190 lbs.  He was wearing jean shorts, a striped shirt and a khaki cap.

He cannot walk or communicate as a result of a stroke; however he can maneuver around in his wheelchair.

A man in a wheelchair was seen near the intersection of Laskin Road and Village Drive getting into a small silver car around noon. It is believed this may have been Edmunds. He has not been seen or returned home since.
