The U.S. Government released a report this morning analyzing some of the documents seized Osama bin Laden's compound by Virginia Beach-based Navy SEAL Team Six.  The SEALS took 6,000 documents during last year's raid.  This morning's report is based on 17 of those documents that have been declassified.

According to the report, bin Laden was "burdened by what he viewed as the incompetence of the 'affiliates" of al Qaeda, and a difficulty to control their activities.  The report also says that the terror network's relations with Iran and Pakistan were fraught with difficulties, and does not include any explicit references that suggest the Pakistani government was supporting al Qaeda at an institutional level.
