With the pandemic closing restaurants' dine-in areas, DoorDash is bringing the restaurant to customers' screens!
Door Dash announced starting Monday, a variety of free, custom-made virtual backgrounds will be available to bring customers a home dine-in experience of restaurants such as McDonald's, The Cheesecake Factory, Chili's Grill & Bar, Panera Bread, and more.
DoorDash’s new video-chat backgrounds can transport customer's to their favorite restaurant.
To utilize the new feature, simply download the backgrounds from the restaurant on DoorDash and then, follow your preferred video conference platform's instructions to add these fun backgrounds to your next video chat.
Some partners like Panera Bread, Cracker Barrel, and Buffalo Wild Wings are sharing their in-room playlists to recreate the energy they typically have in stores.
The virtual dining experience will also be extended with custom Snapchat filters soon, according to DoorDash officials.
