Meteorologist Maddie Kirker's First Warning Forecast:
Zeta moving out and a Strong Cold Front moving in overnight...

Scattered showers and storms are expected overnight as a Strong Cold Front moves through the area. Some storms could be severe with damaging winds and/or an isolated tornado. Winds will stay elevated overnight between 10 and 20 mph with higher gusts possible. Temperatures will cool rapidly behind the front and we'll wake up on Friday in the upper 50s.

Friday will start with lingering showers behind the passage of the cold front. Skies will start cloudy, but we'll see gradual clearing throughout the afternoon. Highs will be noticeably cooler and in the low to mid 60s, which will be below normal for this time of year. It will still be windy, NW 15-20 with gusts to 30 mph possible.

It will be shockingly cooler as we kick off the Halloween Weekend. Highs on Saturday will only be in the mid to upper 50s, which is about 10 degrees below normal for this time of year. Skies will be mostly sunny, and the entire day is looking dry. Winds will be a tad lighter as well out of the NE, 10-15 mph.

Sunday will feature an increase of clouds as showers move in late along with the passage of another Cold Front. Highs Sunday will be in the low 60s.

Some of the coolest air so far this season will arrive on Monday. Highs will only reach the low 50s, about 15 degrees below normal for this time of year!
