Meteorologist Myles Henderson’s First Warning Forecast
Rain returns to start the work week… A few showers are possible this morning, but most of the rain will build in this afternoon. The biggest chance for rain will be between 2 PM and 6 PM as a line of heavy rain moves through from west to east. Strong to severe storms are possible with heavy downpours and gusty winds. Most of the area will see about 0.5” of rain today. Temperatures will warm to the upper 50s this afternoon, about 20 degrees warmer than yesterday. Winds will pick up by midday, reaching 10-20 with gusts to 30 mph. Rain will move out this evening and clouds will clear out overnight with lows in the mid 30s.
Get ready for a very nice midweek! We will see sunny skies on Tuesday with highs near 60. Highs will warm to the mid 60s on Wednesday with more sunshine. Some extra clouds will build in for Thursday and Friday with cooler air returning. Highs will drop to the 50s on Thursday and 40s on Friday.
