A typical summer week with heat, humidity, and storms… We will see a nice mix of mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies today. An isolated shower/storm could pop up this afternoon, but rain will not be widespread. Highs will reach to near 90 today with an afternoon heat index in the mid to upper 90s.
Highs will return to near 90 tomorrow with an afternoon heat index in the upper 90s. Expect partly cloudy skies with afternoon scattered showers and storms. Highs will return to the low 90s Wednesday and Thursday with an afternoon heat index closer to 100. Rain and storm chances will increase for the second half of the work week with more cloud cover. High temperatures will dip to the upper 80s this weekend.

Tropical Update
We are tracking a broad area of low pressure located about 600 miles WSW of the Cabo Verde Islands. Environmental conditions are expected to be somewhat conducive for development to occur, and a tropical depression could form during the next day or two while the disturbance moves generally west to WNW at 10 to 15 mph across the tropical Atlantic. Conditions are forecast to become less conducive for development by the end of the week.
