Chief Meteorologist Patrick Rockey's First Warning Forecast

The work week started off frigid, but will end on a much milder note.

Many of us woke up in the 20s and lower 30s on this Monday morning. And Tuesday morning will be chilly, as well.

But we don't expect it to be quite as cold as a few more clouds will help prop our temperatures up.

Those clouds will continue to stream in on Tuesday afternoon and especially on Wednesday as a dying cold front crosses the region.

Expect highs both days in the upper 50s and lower 60s, which is a little below normal.

The warmth really ramps up on Thursday and Friday. Ahead of a powerful cold front, we'll climb into the upper 60s and lower 70s.

That cold front will bring us at least some rain, mainly late Friday afternoon and into early on Saturday.

Most of the weekend is looking dry, but cooler. Behind the cold front, we can expect highs only in the upper 50s and lower 60s.

But we are expecting some milder weather for Thanksgiving week.

The longer range forecast from the Climate Prediction Center is for warmer-than-normal temperatures next week. Our normal high temperatures during that week are in the upper 50s and lower 60s. So we should be at least a few degrees warmer, on average.
