VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - Super Bowl champion and Virginia Beach native Derrick Nnadi donated Thanksgiving meals on Wednesday to families at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeast Virginia.

The Kansas City Chiefs defensive tackle teamed up with Cracker Barrel to donate 10 Family Meal Baskets to families who wouldn't be able to have a meal this holiday season. Families collected their meals and received a special note from Nnadi.

In a video message Nnadi shared with the families, he said, "2020's been really crazy this year, so I just want to make sure that everybody have full bellies this year. Take it easy, be safe, have fun with your friends and family."

"Derrick Nnadi, he is phenomenal. He was a champion for us before he even put on that Super Bowl ring," Reggie Carter, Service Director at Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeast Virginia, said. "One of his siblings came up through the club, so it's just great to see he has really taken to heart what the Boys and Girls Club stands for giving back to the community."

Nnadi also donated Thanksgiving meals to more than 100 Kansas City area families.
