BUFFALO, NY – University at Buffalo running back Kevin Marks, Jr., a Norfolk product, was named the Mid-American Conference (MAC) East Division Offensive Player of the Week for his performance in UB's 56-7 victory over Akron.
Marks, a Norview High School alumnus, rushed for a career-best 182 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries in against Akron. The junior running back scored on a 24-yard run the first time he touched the ball and added a 23-yard touchdown run later in the second quarter. Marks averaged 12.1 yards per carry.
It marks the first time Marks has won weekly recognition from the league.
Next up for the Bulls is a date with Ball State in the Rocket Mortgage MAC Championship Game on Friday night at Ford Field.
