LANDOVER, Md. - Win or lose, Sunday will leave the Washington Football Team with an empty feeling.

After permitting a limited number of fans (roughly 3,000) to attend the team's last home game, the franchise is not permitting spectators inside FedEx Field for Sunday's home contest vs. Cincinnati - a contest to be broadcast LIVE on News 3.

"The Washington Football Team has been continuously monitoring the evolving health situation in the DMV region," the team said in a statement provided to News 3. "After careful consideration and working in close coordination with health officials in Prince George’s County, we have decided that this Sunday’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals will be played without fans in attendance. We take the responsibility of protecting our staff, players, fans, and the community seriously and feel this is the right decision at this time."

On October 16, Maryland Governor Larry Hogan announced FedEx Field could be filled up to a 10% capacity. However, COVID-19 cases in the region are on the rise, so Sunday's game will be played in an empty stadium.
