LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va. - Washington Football Team offensive assistant Jennifer King, who spent the 2020 season as a coaching intern, is going to be hired full-time, as originally reported by Ian Rapoport.

The promotion makes King the first full-time Black female coach in the NFL.

While King spent the past season working with Washington's offensive staff, she primarily assisted Randy Jordan with the running backs.

Prior to joining the Football Team, King was an offensive assistant at Dartmouth College during the 2019 season. She also served as an assistant receivers coach for the Arizona Hotshots in the Alliance of American Football.

She had prior experience with Washington coach Ron Rivera as well, having spent two summers as a wide receivers coaching intern for Rivera and the Carolina Panthers.
