WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - In this week's Hiking Hampton Roads, sports reporter Megan Plain explores the York River State Park in Williamsburg, Virginia.
According to the park's website, its 2,531 acres are where freshwater and saltwater meet to create a rich habitat for marine and plant life. It's located on the York River and is designated as a Chesapeake Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve. There are 16 trails that range from 0.5 miles long to more than two miles.
