SUFFOLK, Va. - In this week's Hiking Hampton Roads, sports reporter Megan Plain explores Lone Star Lakes Park in Suffolk, Virginia.
According to the park's website, it's home to four miles of gravel road trails and seven miles of multi-use trails. The park's trail that's designated for horse riding is four miles long.
There are eleven lakes to chose from, six of which have boat ramps that allow small fishing boats, canoes or kayaks, and freshwater fishing is allowed.
In addition to the trails and lakes, the park is also home to a flying field for radio control model airplanes and an archery range.
